The Board monitors the administration of the Caroline County Emergency Communications Center, especially the Center's standard operating procedures, and advises and consults with the County Commissioners of Caroline County (the Commissioners), the county administrator, the Communications Manager and other county Fire Company officers in matters pertaining to emergency communications. For the purpose of promoting efficient operation, the Board has the authority to propose change, and to review all proposals for change in communication administration or procedure. The Board is provided a reasonable opportunity to comment before the Commissioners or their representative approve changes. The Board, on a continuing basis, reviews all relations between the ECC and emergency responders and makes recommendations to the ECC to ensure the smooth flow of emergency communications. The Board reviews annually the proposed budget for the Emergency Communications Center, and recommends to the Commissioners its adoption. Membership Information
